Discovery Centre Workshop

Discovery Centre Workshop

At the start of the year we had a workshop with Ally from  the Discovery                 Centre in Co Dublin. Ally came to talk to us about litter and how it affects                   our world in many different ways such as water pollution. Also in the                             evening  she talked to us about climate change and how that effects our                    world. She showed us a few PowerPoints she put us in groups and set us a few  challenges such as match the card to the answer the card but the cards showed the life of a rubbish bag another game we played guess how long it takes for litter to decompose and most of the  class were shocked to know  that gum never decomposes. We looked at a few PowerPoints on how we can recycle reuse and reuse more efficiently and Ally   showed  us some of her ways she reuses things. In the evening time we designed posters using litter with our team. Before Ally left the whole school planted sweet peas. Ally showed us how to be a better recycler and how we can be a bit more green.
