Marble Experiment

In September we did a marble experiment on marbles and what would happen if they hit each other.

We put two rulers side by side and rolled one marble into the other.

We figured out that if you roll a moving marble into a still marble the still marble will start moving and the moving marble will stop.

And if you put two marbles moving and they hit three marbles the last two marbles will start moving so this shows us that energy can travel from one marble to the other. It also shows us that the energy can travel through things and not just wires above the road. The marble experiment was a good one to show us energy can travel through things.
